Scientists: Creativity Part of ‘Mental Illness’

Anthony Gucciardi
Activist Post

If you like to express yourself through painting, writing, or any other form of artistic action, scientists now say that you must be suffering from a mental illness of some kind. In a new display of how truly insane the mainstream medical health paradigm has become, mainstream media outlets are now regurgitating the words of ‘experts’ who say that those who are creative are actually, more often than not, mentally ill.

After all, more than 50% of the United States is, by definition of the psychiatrists of the nation, mentally ill. Even questioning the government is considered a mental disorder. It should come as no surprise to know that upwards of 70% of the psychiatrists who write the conditions are — of course — on the payroll of those who produce the drugs to ‘treat’ the conditions. It should also therefore come as no surprise to note that the DSM (the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, which is the foundation of the entire diagnosis system) now contains over 900 pages of bogus disorders.

And perhaps creativity may soon be added to the massive textbook, which labels people who are shy, eccentric, or have unconventional romantic lives as mentally ill.

Is it any wonder that the 4th edition of the manual, which added hundreds of new ways to diagnose patients, led to a 40 times increase in bipolar disorder diagnoses. Even the lead editor of the DSM-IV Allen Frances, MD, has stated the book is utter nonsense:
There is no definition of a mental disorder. It’s bull****. I mean, you just can’t define it, he said.
Real information like this is what has led the mainstream news to re-title their pieces regarding the new classification of creativity as a mental illness, changing the headlines to more ‘ginger’ ways of linking the two together. Meanwhile, the writers of the study claiming that creativity is part of a mental illness are quite clear in stating that creativity is literally a mental illness. The extent in which you wish to ‘treat’ your creativity, however, is apparently up to you and your doctor.

Be of caution, however, as you have to decide at ‘what cost’ you will allow your creativity to exist. As the study writer stated:
If one takes the view that certain phenomena associated with the patient’s illness are beneficial, it opens the way for a new approach to treatment. In that case, the doctor and patient must come to an agreement on what is to be treated, and at what cost.
As expected the way to ‘treat’ your creativity is of course to take pharmaceutical drugs in the form of anti-depressants or hardcore psychotropic drugs. The same drugs that virtually all suicidal massacre shooters have taken before or during their rampages.

As virtually everything we think and do is classified as a symptom of a mental disorder, the mainstream psychiatric paradigm will continue to grow like a massive parasite alongside the pharmaceutical industry that profits off of the absolute laughable diagnoses of regular adults, children, and even toddlers. Until we realize that we need to shift into a new health paradigm that is centered around personal health freedom and shed corporate science as a whole, we will continue to see insane headlines classifying thought and emotion as mental illness.

your choice

Uploaded by on 30 Nov 2011

a poem for the times. feel free to share

Your Choice

Teachers teach us nothing that we need to know
Scientific preachers, repeating lies without enquiry, without investigation
Testing you at every chance they get
Filling your mind with more bullshit
Now I believe, in evolution
But what we've got here is devolution
Ignorance is our worst disease
It is an infection, spread through the TV with no protection
Yes it's the television that is our own worst enemy
You are a slave to it, work and money, you ain't free

Now you are a slave, not because you forced to be
But because you choose to be
Because it is convenient to let other people make that choice for you
Look at what you have got to loose
If you stop paying taxes
They will take your house and car away from you
It's not because you want them too
But it's because you let them do what they do when they come for you
Because you don't have an education
You've been indoctrinated
For the sole purpose to control the nation
They control you through fear and manipulation
Spinning out lie after lie in the news for provocation
They provoke you into acts of fear
Which then leads to violence
But here's the revelation

I adhere to my heart, and my heart says to me
That we are all born equal
And no one has authority over me
I never consented to be a part of society
So no statute and act has power over me
We belong to the land, it don't belong to you and me
If you wanna be free, you have to give up all possessions
Because you don't own them, they own you
Keep you down where you don't wanna be
Locked in a prison of confusion, it's just an illusion
But if you look to deep
You are met by animosity
By the very slaves that think they are free
The very slaves that laugh at me
But it don't bother me
Because I'm not the one stuck in a job I hate, just to make ends meet

If you really and truly want to be free
Go and have a look in a Black Law Dictionary
And look up words like 'statute' and person' and 'society'
And realise, it's just a choice to be a slave, and you can choose to be free
You can choose to turn off the television
You can choose not to vote for the corrupt politicians
You can choose not to fight their wars
That are created to steal the natural resources from the poor
You can choose to stand up and speak out
You can choose love over fear without a doubt
The choice is yours

Poem Closes Down Bank

Uploaded by on 24 Nov 2011

Having had the pleasure of filming JJs poetry once before, I wanted to film another poem. It was a bit nippy so we decided to film it in the Natwest Bank. The end result as you will see is the closure of the bank ! Perhaps this could be a Nationwide or Worldwide campaign to close down the banking system using poetry ??!!

They say the revolution won't be televised,
But cameras in the court to see the rioters rise,
Cameron's first thought was army in the streets,
Phone-hacking scandal we forgot about the police,
Forgot about Smiley, IPCC,
Sean Rigg, Ricky Bishop, the story was the same,
Over 400 in a decade and we call our country great,
Breivik is described as brave or depraved but the truth is he is just another way,
To express the blatant ways that we hate,
Describe the perpetrator this way without a shred of evidence,
Evident, that our judgement is based on his race,
What if the victims were Muslims and the lone gunman wore a uniform, would it be less scary?
What if the militant really was our military,
What if, why are we asking when it is...
In Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya it's sick,
India, Palestine, or where the hate is?
Home is where the heart is, but my heart is restless,
My friends are on trial while we pay the world a death wish,
Yes, we have political prisoners too,
Dragged from their beds by the red, white and blue,
They stood up for Gaza, the police pushed harder,
We were left back like we didn't have an answer,
Students in Millbank, government think-tank,
More arrests, no more political protest,
When we're on TV, cut us till they bleed me,
EDL leader, lenient cos they need her,
To fuel the atmosphere of fear that legitimatises,
Colonialism under a different guise,
Hardly disguised, discussed or discursive,
But where definitely disgraceful, despicable and hurt is,
Murdoch murders the truth with his headlines,
Foam can't wash away the blood from his red eyes,
Hungry for money, hungry for power,
So Tony Blair flew around the world for one hour,
I'm feeling hungry, I haven't eaten dinner,
I lost my appetite, I can't stomach it,
The lies are so bait but the media will publish it,
But the real criminals are getting paid great,
And it's the real violence that we celebrate,
We only see history written by the winners,
Glorify murderers, dehumanise resistance,
You won't make a Windfall off my ideas,
By attempting to exacarbate fears,
Bully and deceive, your lies became clear,
You tried to change the bars, but the facade disappeared,
If you take our freedom we take it back,
Give Picot a pen and he'll draw a map,
Now the people say give our borders back,
Don't take orders from the hoards of Lords,
But I fight with a pen and I write with a sword,
And the masses are massing at borders you taught,
Cos you can't draw order from Egypt to Jordan,
No normality on land that is stolen,
The U.S. is us, it is not rael,
Empire on the run but we catch your tail,
And the war is not fun when the soldiers set sail,
Cos the sun will set, and many will fail,
Many will fall at the hand of it all,
Never hidden it is bait we are trained to be tools,
Chess pieces on a black and white board I am bored of,
War, war, more war and then torture,
Lives are lost at the hand of the law,
The land of the law, or the blade of a saw?,
Or the chain that will rust in the reign of the Kingdom,
We will never unite on the right to be killing them.

Expect Us!

Uploaded by on 29 Sep 2011

Heretic Productions brings you an extraordinary piece of Poetry by Bill Allyn. "Expect Us."

Expect Us

Once we were weak; but now we stand tall.
Millions of citizens, heeding the call.
Demanding our freedom, the birthright of all.
The Arab Spring turns to The American Fall.

We're the 99, and we'll never forgive.
We'll never forget how you've made us live.
Expect us at your door, prepare to defend!
The reign of the moneyed and privileged now ends.

Once we were few; now we grow by the hour.
The lamb sheds its mask—the emperor cowers.
The wolf bares her teeth, her hunger devours,
The gleaming skyscrapers, the ivory towers.

We're the 99, and we'll never forgive.
We'll never forget how you've made us live.
Expect us at your door, prepare to defend!
The world of the moneyed and privileged now ends.

There's no "job creators", a "trickle-down" bust.
And time's running out for your greed and your lust.
You've earned no respect, and squandered our trust.
From this day forward, you must expect us!

We're the 99, and we'll never forgive.
We'll never forget how you've made us live.
Expect us at your door, prepare to defend!
The reign of the moneyed and privileged now ends.
