Mark McGowan's re-enactment of the Murder of Ian Tomlinson

May 25, 2pm

In his growing but controversial series of death reenactments, artist Mark McGowan is to reenact the murder of Ian Tomlinson at this year's G20 summit.

The controversial performance artist, who has previously reenacted the deaths of Jean Charles de Menezes and Jade Goody as well as the London train and bus bombings, will don a cardboard box with face on it to play Mr Tomlinson, who died of an internal injury after a widely-publicised assault by police.

The event, involving actors representing riot police and Tomlinson, will take place at 2pm on Bank Holiday Monday May 25, at the site of the incident, the Royal Exchange, in the City of London.
