Peyote: I Wish We All Could Be Members of the Native American Church by http://www.neurosoup.com
In 1994, it became legal in the United States for Native American church members to consume peyote during their peyote ceremonies. The active constituent of peyote is mescaline, both of which are schedule 1 drugs here in United States. However, Native American church members are exempt from any penalties associated with their legality.
