Ron Paul on the G20

...a global central bank with the power to create a truly international currency would give the international system the same power globally that the Federal Reserve enjoys domestically — the power to create money at will. In other words, the UN system would acquire at a stroke the power to fund itself by printing money, emancipating it from reliance on the contributions of member states. An international tax or fee assessed on financial activity would be the realization of another long-cherished but still-unfulfilled dream of globalists: a truly global tax...

Police swooped on a series of homes in Plymouth after officers uncovered a cache of weapons, suspicious devices and suspected extremist material during a search.

The three men and two women were held under the Terrorism Act over the last three days, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

They are being questioned over claims they planned to target the meeting of the world's most powerful political leaders in London later this week.

Scotland Yard officers are liaising with investigators in south west England over the suspected plot.

UnPrecedented Protest Potential

As the global economic downturn gathers pace, police in the UK say protesters are planning in an "unprecedented" way for London's G20 summit next week. But who are those taking to the streets and what do they want?

G20 Meltdown flyer

The coming together of the world's biggest economic powers has always attracted vocal and sometimes violent demonstrations.

But this year there are fears that anger over the recession could make next week's G20 meeting of the world's most powerful countries the focus for mass protest on a scale not seen for some time.

Protest expert Professor George McKay, of the University of Salford, says the economic crisis has served to boost support for such street protests this year because it has made criticising capitalism acceptable again - something that had all but disappeared in the 1980s and 90s.

"Here we are at an absolutely pivotal point," he says. "That, I think, will add to a new level of angry energy."

HELP, POLICE!!!

...DON'T PANIC, information is a two way street...
Photobucket
...here's one of the new Policing Pledges heralded by the rather creepy image above "8 - If you have been a victim of crime agree with you how often you would like to be kept informed of progress in your case and for how long. You have the right to be kept informed at least every month if you wish and for as long as is reasonable" - mmm, so it is THEY who can not remain silent and must answer to US...
...when in custody though the best advice is still "ALWAYS DO NO COMMENT OR SILENT INTERVIEWS WHILE IN POLICE CUSTODY", check out freeB.E.A.G.L.E.S. for more advice...

Save the Internet

...Put simply, Net Neutrality means no discrimination. Net Neutrality prevents Internet providers from blocking, speeding up or slowing down Web content based on its source, ownership or destination...

... Who wants to get rid of Net Neutrality?

The nation's largest telephone and cable companies want to be Internet gatekeepers, deciding which Web sites go fast or slow and which won't load at all.

They want to tax content providers to guarantee speedy delivery of their data. They want to discriminate in favor of their own search engines, Internet phone services, and streaming video -- while slowing down or blocking their competitors.

These companies have a new vision for the Internet. Instead of an even playing field, they want to reserve express lanes for their own content and services -- or those from big corporations that can afford the steep tolls -- and leave the rest of us on a winding dirt road...

...ACT NOW!!!...

Ron Paul - Sensemonger

Thursday, Feb 26th, 2009 CNBC anchors were left dumbfounded and acted overtly cantankerous yesterday after Congressman Ron Pauls opening statement at the House Financial Services Committee was broadcast live to an audience of millions.

CNBC went live to the House, clearly without knowing that the Texas Congressman had the initial Republican statement at the hearing of Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke.

After the Congressman spent two and a half minutes lecturing Bernanke on sound money principles, warning that the financial crisis cannot be solved by merely creating credit out of thin air, CNBC cut back to the studio.

Anchors Erin Burnett and Mark Haines were so perturbed by what they had just heard that they immediately cut to a commercial break:

Haines: "This is not going as planned"

the Richmond UpRising..

As we flow through the metaphysical sea of life upon the ships of our souls, often we are brought to change course. In Richmond, a group of poets, musicians, teachers, artists and many a soul in possession of talent have mobilized into an army of free minds. This small subtle video is but one beat on the drum; one beat to be followed by many others that will document the rhythmic heart beat of the Revolution. I have taken it upon myself to render a video testament documenting the course of the Peoples Revolution as it's happening now in Richmond Virginia so that others my see and take heart. Social Revolution, Social Re-Evolution is forming it's roots across the world. Check out how we do it in Richmond! Go to the "TheLyricalJihad" channel to see more.

the NEW AMERICAN CENTURY - trailer

"A stunning film. It should be seen as widely as possible, in cinemas, bars, clubs, at meetings and, of course, through the internet. I'm sure the film will continue to be a source of debate and political education for many years. Maybe until the war criminals have been brought to trial." - Ken Loach
